Magical March – Writing task for Primary School

At Breakaway Education, we value the skills that our students need to develop when it comes to writing. Sometimes, we focus so much on the reading aspect of literacy, that writing falls to the side.

With this in mind, each month, we are going to put together a monthly themed writing task, which provides families and students with the scaffolds and opportunity to practice their writing skills in a variety of contexts. This month, we are looking at writing Magical stories. With that in mind, we can provided you with not only the Monthly writing tasks……. But also a variety of scaffolds to help your child to put their ideas on the page first, prior to completing their written story.

We encourage students to progressively work on their story throughout the Month, as this is the best way to finalise a piece of writing. We really want to encourage our kids to engage with the process of writing, not just on the finish product.

For the month of March, we are also inviting families to submit their children’s stories to us via email ([javascript protected email address]) to go into the draw of winning a Magical March Book and Writing Pack.

Entries close on the 31st of March at 6pm.
